In radio St. Louis 1946-50. Head of Accordion Dept. Ludwig College of Music, St. Louis 1949-50. Soloist with popular orchestra. Works: "Skating Waltz in Swing"; "Swingin' in Vienna" (contest number, Chicago-land Music Festival 1950); Kavallo's Kaners"; "Windy River"; "Dakota Pollca"; "Long Long Ago in Swing"; "Minute Waltz in Swing"; "Chatter­box"; "Philosophy." Flynn, Allan, composer, author; b. New York, N.Y., April 13, 1894. ASCAP 1935. Educ.: Public School 4, and Morris High School, Bronx; Knights of Columbus Evening School, Fordham Univ., Bronx. Proofreader for four years; worked in American Biograph Studios, Bronx. While with armed forces in World War I, wrote "Bing Bang Bing 'Em on the Rhinel" Then several years commercial life; returned to songwriting. To England 1935 to write for films and revues. Songs written in England: "Over on the Sunny Side"; "Stars Over Devon"; "Moonspun Dreams"; "Rags"; "I Could Never Care Again'; "My Heart is Haunted by the Ghost of Your Smile."
